Accessibility Statement
Last updated 1 July 2026
Crestwick Digital Ltd wants crestwickdigital.com to work for everyone. As a studio that makes video for a living, we also think we have a particular obligation to get accessibility right in the content we produce for clients — so this statement covers both.
1. The standard we work to
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA for this website, and we assess against it whenever we make substantial changes and at least once a year.
2. What we have done on this site
- Semantic landmarks, a single
h1per page and headings in logical order. - Every colour pairing checked for contrast, including the lime and violet accents. Lime is only ever used behind dark text, never as text on a light ground.
- The lime highlighter effect behind headline words is a decorative CSS background; the text underneath is real text and reads normally to a screen reader.
- All controls reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus style that meets the WCAG 2.2 focus appearance criterion.
- Persistent visible labels on all form fields, programmatically associated, with required fields marked in text as well as by attribute.
- Layout reflows to a single column at 320 CSS pixels wide with no horizontal scrolling and no loss of content.
- Text scales to 200% without clipping, and headline sizes are set in relative units.
- The rotating badge, animated blob and scrolling marquee are decorative, hidden from assistive technology, and stop entirely under reduced-motion settings.
- Accordions use native
detailsandsummaryelements so state is announced correctly. - No flashing content, no autoplaying audio, no time limits and no drag-only interactions.
3. Accessibility in the content we produce
Captions are included as standard on every video we deliver, at no extra cost. We have never treated them as an upsell and we do not intend to start.
- Open and closed captions on all short-form and long-form video, checked by a human rather than left as auto-generated output.
- Caption styling designed as part of the brand system — legible size, sufficient contrast and safe positioning away from platform interface elements.
- Alt text drafted for every static asset we deliver, ready to publish.
- Audio description or a described alternative cut available on request for narrative video.
- No information conveyed by colour alone, and no fast-flashing sequences.
- Contrast checked on all on-screen text and graphics before delivery.
4. Known limitations
- Embedded YouTube and Vimeo players are not fully within our control and may not meet Level AA in every respect. Transcripts are available on request.
- Some archived portfolio PDFs are not tagged for screen readers. We will supply an accessible HTML or plain-text version within two working days of a request.
- Work we produced before 2023 may not carry the caption and alt-text standards described above.
5. Tested with
Our most recent review used NVDA with Firefox and Chrome on Windows 11, VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS, TalkBack with Chrome on Android, keyboard-only navigation, Windows High Contrast and forced-colours modes, and browser zoom to 400%.
6. Reporting a problem
If something here does not work for you, please tell us. Email [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Include the page address, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
We acknowledge within two working days and aim to fix confirmed issues within 20 working days, offering the content in an alternative format meanwhile.
7. Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission enforces the Equality Act 2010 in relation to accessible services. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
8. Preparation of this statement
Prepared on 1 July 2026 following a self-assessment of every page using automated testing, manual keyboard and screen reader testing, and a criterion-by-criterion review against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Reviewed annually or on substantial change.
